CONVENTION!!!!

Yesterday, I attended the UDHA convention. This is for Dental Hygienists all around the state of Utah. We had so much fun walking around all the booths that give you FREE 'stuff'. We got a lot of toothpaste and toothbrushes. [[as you can see]] and a lot of different samples to use and see what we like most.

For the program we have to make an OHI (Oral Hygiene Instruction) that teaches patents about oral health and what they can do to improve. As well as different products that help with everything from dry mouth to sensitive teeth. We, as students, try out the different products and form our own opinion. This way we can recommend different products to our pt. They also had classes that will teach you about new products and techniques. Most of these are way over all the 1st years heads because the most we have done is probe once. I wish they had different classes for the students. but alas, they don't. So we just sat there and tried to understand.

Anyway, I had a blast getting to know everyone better in my WSU class and getting free stuff. I will basically do anything for a free t-shirt or toothpaste for this. :)

Side note: Free is best, and I wish I could coupon like those crazy ladies on TV.

I can't wait to get my degree and start practicing. it will be nice not to have to feel dumb because I don't have any idea about what I'm doing. :)
