Vacation Time!

I know it has been a while since the trip [[Aug, 2010]], but I now have a blog... :)

So Ryan and I went to a little place I call Virgina. Ryan's brother and his family recently moved down there and it was a super good choice on their part because now we get to go visit them. :) It is a beautiful place and the water is sooo warm! I would love to live there someday... maybe in the future when we are old and retired and can just enjoy the beach.

Alright, so first of all, It was my very FIRST PLANE RIDE EVER!!! I was very scared because 1. I had never been on a plane before and 2. On the way to the airport, just as Ryan's dad said "you are more safe in the air then on the ground", the car next to us swirved and almost hit us, then he ran off the road and rolled his car THREE TIMES!!!! Yes, we just kept driving, we had a plane to catch! So I am sitting in the back seat going "first responder?? anyone??" and they are all like "he'll be fine". Ryan did call 911 though. How thoughtful of him! :)

On the plane ready for take-off
Advice for those of you out there who are going onto a plane for the first time:
*Planes are not comfortable like you see in the movies. Don't expect to move..
*Do not get a plane that allows babies! They do nothing but cry... the whole 4 hours!
*Make friends with the people next to you... it's less awkward when you caress their leg on accident while trying to get out to go to the bathroom.
*Tavel light, do not check bags if at all possible. We didn't check anything and it was the best decision we have ever made, other than to tie the knot of love with an engagement ring. :)

Other than some minor details like wanting to rip my ears off my head during landing, the ride was just fine. The first day was a great day to sleep and get situated...

The beach was just absolutely amazing! Ryan and I went like 4 out of the 6 days. Just jumping with the waves and building sand castles [which were amazing!] This one we made with his nieces, brother, and brothers wife. They are awesome! Soon, I will call them In-laws, how exciting! Anyway, awesome castle huh!? Yes, we got fancy with the sea shells. :)

We spent another day at the mall and going to a movie [[$22.47 for me and ryan, just to the movie, no treats! And I thought 7.50 was expensive]] We also went to a little place out in the sticks called Busch Gardens... way better than Lagoon! This is a picture of us on the griffon (three chairs in the front row. very left.) It takes you really really high into the sky, and then just as you go over the edge, it stops and just lets you look at your doom in the face for 20 seconds before it drops you... It was awesome! We had a blasty blast at the park!

We also took one day and went to the beach to watch fireworks out over the water. Before the big show, we found a bike, not one two or three person... but FOUR person bike! It was the coolest thing in the world. The boys claimed they were doing all the work, but Cheryl and I were the ones who were really the laborers. The girls got a free ride. You know the people who speed up in front of you on the highway and then just as they pass you and get in front they slow down?? well that was us on the bike trail... ha ha ha we passed everyone going like 100 mile an hour. yeah, Cheryl and I got a work out. ;)

On our ride, we found turtles... not real ones, just some awesome statues, so of course we pulled over to take pictures! :)
After the bike, we walked along the beach picking up little tiny crabs in our hands and letting them run around crazy. Then sat on the beach while the fireworks burst over the ocean.

It was the perfect vacation with my love and I can not wait to go back!
We're very happy Skyler and Cheryl welcomed us into their home for a week.
We absolutely LOVED hanging out and playing games, along with the many inside jokes.
I couldn't ask for better people to call family.
